Donations – Bible Studies & Discipleship

Half of Africa’s Population does not have access to electricity.

Electricity outages are nothing new for many of the Christians we work with in Africa. In fact, Bible Studies are often interrupted and postponed because of poor or no lighting, especially in rural areas.

Pastor Luke, Precept Uganda’s National Director, recently started a Bible Study with a group of eager believers from Life in Jesus Center Church in Kampala. They had barely gotten through the first chapter when the electricity, once again, was cut. He was disappointed, but suggested they come back the next day to try again. Their response, however, was far from disappointing – if not incredible!

Instead of agreeing to come back under more comfortable conditions, these believers insisted they proceed with the study by using the light from their cellphones to be able to read and participate! What an incredible example for us all.

We have seen a great need for generators that the Precept Africa Trainers and Leaders would be able to use in order to continue sharing the Word of God with people despite electricity outages.
